Anita writes nonfiction and journals under her own name, and children's books and suspense novels as A.K. Smith. She's the award-winning author of A Deep Thing (Readers' Favorite Gold Medal Winner), Her Perfect Disappearance, and It's Going to Be a Great Day, and writes The Sparkling Adventures of Glowy the Fish for young readers as A.K.
